THE EXOTIC GARDEN
I n remembrance of Augustin Cornu de la Fontaine de Coincy, an exotic garden has been created in the second moat. He was a famous botanist who traveled around the world. He erected a small green-house in the gardens where he used to grow pineapple trees. The design of this garden has been inspired by the remote and exotic countries he visited.
T his garden is surrounded by bamboos and hosts many plants with out-standing shaped leaves, such as aralias, acanthus, hydrangea, viburnum, cercidiphyllum, aesculus parviflora, corylopsis and nandinas. All these plants are not only a remembrance of the many journeys made by Augustin de Coincy, but are also outstanding for their colors and aristocratic allure.
